WINDOW & DOOR SYSTEMS
TAILORED TO YOUR SPACE

From the natural elegance of timber to the advanced thermal performance of thermally broken aluminium, our systems are selected to suit your style, climate, and energy goals.

Windows & Doors, Your Way

Timber. Aluminium. Thermally Broken. One Studio, Infinite Possibilities.

At Durabal Studio, we offer a versatile selection of window and door systems tailored to meet the demands of both design and performance. Whether you’re drawn to the organic warmth of timber, the sleek durability of aluminium, or the energy efficiency of thermally broken frames, our range ensures your vision is never limited by material.

Each system comes with its own strengths: timber delivers exceptional insulation and natural character, standard aluminium is lightweight and low-maintenance, while thermally broken aluminium significantly reduces heat transfer—achieving low U-values ideal for energy-conscious homes. With expert guidance at every step, we help you choose the material that perfectly balances style, comfort, and long-term value.

Durabal Studio offers a wide range of window and door systems, including timber, aluminium, and thermally broken options—each with unique benefits. From natural insulation to energy efficiency and low maintenance, we help you select the ideal material to match your style and performance goals.

Range of System Materials

The right material for every vision — without compromise.

Aluminium

Aluminium is strong, lightweight, low maintenance, and allows for slim frames with large glass panels. It’s durable, corrosion-resistant, and available in many finishes. Thermally broken options improve insulation, but glass still drives most of the thermal performance. It’s a smart, balanced choice for most projects.

Typical U-Value : 3.90 (Clear DGU)

Timber

Timber offers a warm, natural look that adds character and charm to any space. It insulates well and suits both classic and contemporary designs. However, it requires regular maintenance and can be prone to warping or weathering over time. Best for those who value aesthetics and don’t mind the upkeep.

Typical U-Value : 2.45 (Clear DGU)

uPVC

uPVC is durable, low maintenance, and offers excellent thermal insulation, making it popular in colder climates. It won’t rot, rust or corrode, but can look bulky and lacks the refined finish of aluminium or timber. A practical choice where performance matters more than appearance.

Typical U-Value : 2.37 (Clear DGU)

Thermally Broken

Thermally broken aluminium combines the strength and sleek look of aluminium with improved insulation. A thermal barrier inside the frame reduces heat transfer, making it more energy efficient. It's ideal for projects needing better thermal performance without sacrificing modern design.

Typical U-Value : 3.10 (Clear DGU)

Flush Glazing

Flush glazing creates a seamless, modern look by aligning the glass edge with the frame. It maximises the glass area, reduces visible framing, and enhances natural light. Ideal for minimalist designs where clean lines and uninterrupted views are a priority.

Typical U-Value : 3.73 (Clear DGU)

Range of Glass Types

Choose the right glass to balance light, privacy, and performance.

Low-E Glass

Low-E glass has a thin coating that reflects heat while allowing natural light in. It helps keep spaces cooler in summer and warmer in winter, improving energy efficiency without affecting clarity or daylight.

Clear Glass

Clear glass offers maximum visibility and light, creating a bright, open feel. It has no tint or coating, making it ideal where natural light and unobstructed views are the priority. However, it provides minimal insulation or solar control.

Coloured Glass

Coloured glass has a subtle tint—like grey, bronze, or green—that reduces glare, solar heat, and UV exposure. It offers more privacy than clear glass while still letting in natural light, making it ideal for sunny areas or a soft visual effect.

Aesthetics

With access to a huge range of materials and finishes, we cater to a broad range of system aesthetics, such as Flush Glazing.

Flush Glazing

Flush glazing creates a smooth, uninterrupted surface between glass and frame, delivering a sharp, contemporary look. This detail enhances the minimalist design language of modern architecture while maximising glass area and natural light. It’s a signature aesthetic we showcase at Durabal Studio for clients seeking clean lines and refined simplicity.

Bonded Sashes

Fully bonded sashes offer a seamless visual integration between glass and frame, removing the need for traditional glazing beads. The result is a more refined, solid, and uniform finish that elevates the overall presentation of the window or door. At Durabal Studio, this aesthetic is central to achieving a premium architectural look with enduring style.
